Korean media: South Korea’s second warm-up opponent is Saudi Arabia in September, and plans to warm up with Vietnam in October.

Live broadcast on August 10 according to the news from South Korean media Yonhap, the second warm-up opponent of South Korea team was Saudi Arabia in September and planned to warm up with Vietnam in October.

Yonhap news agency reported that relevant people of the Korean Football Association said today: “In the second match of the-level match in September, it was not easy to invite the European team. We are preparing a warm-up plan with Saudi Arabia, although the contract has not been signed, it has actually been confirmed as Saudi Arabia.”

The South Korean team initially planned to warm up in England, Wales and Mexico. Their warm-up with Wales has been confirmed to be held in Wales on the evening of September 7, local time, however, the warm-up match with Mexico was canceled by the Mexican Football Association on the grounds of TV broadcast time. Therefore, the South Korean team contacted the Saudi team to warm up. The warm-up match between the Saudi team and Mexico was also canceled by the Mexican Football Association.

The media later said that due to the European team’s European Cup qualifier in September, it was difficult for the Korean Football Association to contact the European team to warm up. The warm-up match between South Korea and Saudi Arabia would be held on September 12, local time, the location and specific kick-off time have not been determined.

The Football Association related person explained: “We have been trying to find a stronger European team than our national team to warm up, but it is not easy. Klinsmann also suggested that it was also good to play against the Middle East team in preparation for the Asian Cup in next January.”

South Korea’s Asian Cup is in the same group as Malaysia, Jordan and Bahrain, and their top 36 rivals are China, Thailand, Singapore/Guam. Therefore, Klinsmann also hopes to play against the Middle East team before the Asian Cup, in addition, the Korean Football Association plans to play against the Vietnamese team in the warm-up match in October to simulate the Thai team.
